These Terms govern your use of the Singletick mobile application and the Singletick website (singletick.app). By installing, opening, or using Singletick, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use Singletick.

1. The licence we grant you

Singletick grants you a personal, worldwide, non-exclusive, non-transferable, royalty-free licence to use the Singletick app on devices you own or control.

2. What you may not do

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app beyond what is permitted by applicable law (e.g. for interoperability under EU directives).
• Use the app to facilitate illegal activity in your jurisdiction.
• Re-distribute the app or any of its assets (logos, illustrations, copy) for commercial purposes without explicit written permission.
• Attempt to break the encryption layer to extract another user's data (we don't have your keys, so this won't get you what you think — but the prohibition stands).
• Use the app, the website, or any of its sub-services in a way that materially impairs another user's ability to use them.

3. Pro subscriptions

Pro is an auto-renewing subscription processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Singletick is never the merchant of record; the App Store / Play Store handles billing, refunds, receipts, and family-sharing per their respective policies.

• Auto-renewal: Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date through your store account.
• Cancellation: Cancel through your App Store / Play Store account settings. Singletick cannot cancel for you.
• Refunds: Refunds are handled by Apple / Google per their policies. Contact them through the same store account where you purchased.
• Pro feature list: Refer to the Pricing page for the current scope. We will give 30 days' notice before removing any Pro feature you currently enjoy.

4. Free tier

The free tier is — and will remain — capable of running every primary surface of the app: habits, todos, notes, pledges, mood, focus, statistics, JSON / CSV export, local notifications. We consider the free tier a permanent commitment, not a trial.

5. Encryption and your passphrase

Singletick is a zero-knowledge service: your content is encrypted on your device with a key derived from a passphrase only you know. If you lose your passphrase, we cannot recover your data. The Pro tier offers a printable Recovery Key PDF you can store offline as a backup; outside that mechanism, lost passphrases mean permanently inaccessible content. This is the trade-off of zero-knowledge encryption, and it is intentional.

6. Your data, your responsibility

Because Singletick cannot read your data, you are responsible for backing it up (Pro: encrypted backup to your own cloud; Free: JSON / CSV export). We are not liable for data loss caused by passphrase loss, device loss, OS-level wipe, cloud-provider data loss, or any other event outside our control.

7. Warranty disclaimer

Singletick is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, free of harmful components, or compatible with any specific device or OS version.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Singletick (and its affiliates, contractors, and licensors) shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the app or website.

9. Intellectual property

The Singletick name, logo, marks, illustrations, page copy, visual design, and brand assets are the proprietary work of Singletick. You may not reproduce, modify, or use them outside the licence granted in section 1, except for press use as described on the press kit page.

10. DMCA / abuse reports

Singletick respects the intellectual-property rights of others. To report a copyright issue with the website or app, email hello@singletick.app with subject "DMCA". To report abuse, use the same address with subject "Abuse".

11. Changes to these Terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a refreshed "Last updated" date. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
